On the corner of 8th and Wacouta adjacent to its current building, the Mission purchases land for a four-story addition, including a new Bethel Hotel to shelter and care for up to 336 men each night. “A place where the doors never close,” the Bethel Hotel offers a dormitory, 96 rentable rooms and a restaurant serving inexpensive meals. Construction is aided by 100 jobless men staying at the Mission.
