The new Fellowship Hall, located in the Mission’s downtown building on East 7th Street, begins offering men the opportunity to work and earn their room and board until they find a job. Many of them work in the Gift Drop Center, which accepts used household items, clothing and newspapers. It is here that a workman’s pool is also organized to connect men with short- and long-term employment out in the community.
