The “Promise Professional Mission School of Education,” or Promise Program, opens. This innovative partnership helps low-income women, many single and with families, gain office-related skills to start a career. Due to financial considerations, the partnership with Crown College ends in 2010, and Promise Program closes its doors after 37 years.
